This festive season will see Absolute Quality Consultancy & Training Ltd support the Bubble Foundation, a charity that works to save the lives of babies born with no immune system by providing bone marrow transplantation treatment, research, and accommodation.
Each year the company, which specialises in business management systems and training, supports a charity by donating funds instead of sending Christmas cards.
This is the second year that Absolute Quality has supported the Foundation which raises funds to assist in the care and treatment of children diagnosed with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disease (SCID), a gene deficiency that means they can’t fight infection.
Absolute Quality’s Managing Director, Helen Short, said: “As a business we always give something to a local charity each year. Christmas is a time of year for giving and spending time with loved ones and we recognise that the festive season isn’t always easy for everyone.”
There are only two centres in the UK and Ireland to treat children with SCID – the Great North Children’s Hospital at the RVI in Newcastle and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
Helen said: “The Foundation work tirelessly to raise both funds and awareness of SCID to offer the best chance of success to children who travel to them from across the UK and Ireland. It’s a privilege for us to support this cause by donating the money we’d normally spend on Christmas cards.”
