Andrew Willson
Trainer
Andrew Willson supports the delivery of Absolute Quality's training.
Working as part of the client’s team is key to the way that Andrew likes to deliver support, helping them communicate more effectively with enforcement officers or designing and delivering bespoke training Andrew likes to really embed into the culture of the company.
He says “I know that we are working with a client the way I want us to when we find ourselves say “We” rather than “you” in conversations or training sessions”.
Andrew read Food Resource Management at Seale Hayne College (Plymouth University) before undertaking a variety of diverse technical management roles including Trainee Flavourist with an intense flavours house and Quality Manager in a high risk chicken cooking company. These were supplemented with three years as a front line production management in Rolo and then as Technical Training Manager for Nestle Confectionery. What he learnt in these roles helps to ensure that he has a pragmatic and empathetic approach when balancing the needs of staff development and keeping production departments running.
One of the most important roles, in terms of forming Andrews current skill set, was that of Technical Training Manager for Nestle Fawdon. This exposed Andrew to a huge range of opportunities and experiences; all vital in the nurturing of his confidence in, and passion for, training and people development.
